The Uniqueness of our dogs

I am not looking to just breed two French Bulldogs

for the sake of breeding two French bulldogs.

I looked for over 4 years for the right puppies to start with.

To begin any successful breeding program ,

it MUST start with the Puppy you choose to breed ,

first and foremost.

The foundation must be of excellent temperament,

sound health and amazing structure and DNA.

Finding all  of these in a puppy ,

is often difficult.

Then throw in size, we wanted smaller,

this made our search even harder.

When choosing puppies I often look for very unique qualities,

eye color, markings, etc.

Take two brindles for instance,

one may have distinct lines ,

the other not.

The one with cleaner lines may not have good conformation,

and the one w/o does,

the one to choose for breeding is the one with the better conformation.

You can breed her /him back to a nicer marked brindle for cleaner lines,

poor conformation can not be reclaimed easily, once lost.

It takes too many breedings to recapture bad foundation,

not worth the time, way too many dogs with great structure

in the breeding pool.

We have chosen to hold puppies back for breeding with heart patterns,

very unique colors, violet eyes, etc.

Because of these unique qualities I have been successful in breeding unique ,sought after

qualities, such blue and green eyes / blue-eyed combinations into my dogs,

we breed amazing looking dogs

with health and conformation being second after temperament.
