Why we named it 5280?
5,280 is exactly one mile above sea level,
In Denver Colorado
where I began my breeding program in 2001.
The reason Denver is referred to as the Mile High City. 5280:
Elevation of Denver, Colorado
We are 5280 French Bulldogs, there is no imitation

Even if you are not purchasing a puppy,

I wanted to exceed the expectation of a breeder
and offer our clients and puppy’s a head start
on the issues that are most often overlooked, training.
I am confident you will not find any other
French Bulldog breeder offering trained puppies,
or giving you access to a trainer.
We do this to make the transition less stressful on you and your new puppy,
after all it is about the puppy right.
We interview all applicants, many have not qualified,
this is very simply because it must be the right fit for you and the puppy.
It is very important for the future owners to follow through with the training
in order for the puppy to settle in and feel more comfortable
in its new environment.
The amount of socialization we give the puppies away from
the other puppies and with human touch has a lot to do with how well
your new puppy bonds and adjusts to its new home.
Our puppies wine less, if at all, and crave human contact more,
so there is less adjustment for them to leave their siblings.
I am not breeding dogs for the sake of breeding dogs.
Many dogs do not fit into my expectations
of qualified breeding.
Call me picky.
We all breed for different qualities.
I myself breed for temperament, health, size,
unique color and pattern.
Offering you the client the best and highest
customer care is my priority.
I studied , implemented, and have successfully bred down Toy Rat Terriers
from a lineage producing 4-7 lb dogs to
a lineage producing 1.9lb – 5lblb full-grown dogs, consistently.
with successful out crossing ,
and selective breeding
years of breeding has developed the smallest,
healthiest, and most conformed lineage in
Teacup/ Toy Rat Terriers.
It takes many years, and dedication,
we turn down more dogs for breeding than we select.
This makes the process even more time-consuming,
however the results from that are much more fruitful.
When selecting a puppy/dog for breeding the selection process is tedious.
It may have 10 qualities I like and one I do not,
if I can not breed out that one quality w/o multiple breeding’s,
I will not breed the puppy.
I have to be this selective, or my breeding program will just go backwards.
For this reason we have decided to breed and produce the highest quality
French Bulldogs.
Applying the same principles in breeding,
and selecting only the finest lineages for our breeding program,
we will begin to breed down the current sizes of the French Bulldog into the size the were known to be in to 1800’s.
French Bulldogs in the 1800’s were known to be just 12lbs to 17 lbs and were prized. Read more on the History page.
